The test of an addition is whether a stranger can tell where the old house stopped. That is mostly planning: rooflines, siding, window style, trim profiles, and where the new load actually lands.
Older houses around here rarely give you square walls or level floors, and we plan for that instead of discovering it on day three. When we do open something up and find a problem, you see it, you hear what each option costs, and you decide. You will not learn about it from the final invoice.
You also still have to live there while we work. We seal the job off from the rest of the house, keep the mess contained, and clean up at the end of every day.

Will the addition match the existing house?
That is most of the work. Rooflines, siding, window style and trim all get matched so the new part does not read as bolted on. Older houses take more care here and we plan for it.
Can we stay in the house while you work?
Usually yes. We seal the work off from the rest of the house, keep the site tidy and clean up daily, because you still have to live there.
Do you do kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, both, including moving walls and reworking plumbing and electrical where the layout needs it.
What if you open a wall and find a problem?
We show you, explain the options and what each one costs, and you decide. You will not find out about it on the final invoice.
